Update of SAT surcharge effective 17th February 2020

In Uncategorized by Birgit

Dear valued customers,

With global Oil Prices and Airline Fuel Surcharges decreasing, we update our SAT Surcharge accordingly.

Background: As we have informed you in April 2017, due to changes in the surcharge mechanisms of the airline industry, we had to implement a new SAT Surcharge system. This system helps to better reflect volatile oil prices and the impact on our SAT Albatros Sea-Air product.

Airlines are now moving one step down of their Fuel Surcharge mechanisms. Consequently, our SAT Surcharges, currently at USD 0.20/ch.kg, are being reduced to USD 0.15/ch.kg effective ETD Origin 17th February 2020 and later.

If you have a quotation on hand from SAT, please review the surcharge level this was quoted on (in appendix of our official quote) and be kindly informed that the newly announced SAT Surcharges are applicable for all shipments with ETD Origin 17th February 2020 and later. Your respective SAT contact person will be able to answer any questions you may have, so please do not hesitate to contact us

Yours faithfully,

Oliver Bursch
Senior Vice President SAT Albatros Group
